A very popular concern people have is how to delete their complete Internet tracks. To do this you must always make sure you erase your browser history, cache, cookies and saved passwords. The new Firefox 3.5 manages your Internet history/tracks differently than the previous version. It is not a sidestep either; improvements have been made.

Firefox 3.5+ now allows you to delete your browsing history for specific blocks of time instead of just, everything. It allows you to just delete 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or a full day of browsing (yes, it still has an option to delete “everything”). This works well especially if you have a lot of sites saved in your history that you don’t want erased but you recently visited some websites that you would prefer to be completely deleted from your Firefox history. I recently was in a situation like this. I was on several sites looking for cool-looking, high resolution desktop images. I came upon this site that had cool desktop images. I chose to download one but when I clicked on the download button Firefox immediately warned me that the download link is highly likely to be a Malware link (like a virus). I immediately closed the site. I wanted to get rid of any reminisce of the site on my computer just in case I accidentally downloaded some spyware or other virus-like items. I opened up the Clear Recent History settings and fully deleted the history, cache, cookies, etc. of the past hour. This worked well for me since I hate when I have to delete everything and then I have to renter my login and passwords on all the websites I go to like Gmail and YouTube.
