Some websites require that you have the Adobe Shockwave Player plug-in installed on your browser. The main use of the Shockwave technology I have seen on the Internetⁱ has been on game sites. Besides games some sites offer movies or animation using the Shockwave technology.

Please Note: I am using the Firefoxⁱ browser in this tutorial but the Shockwave browser plug-in will work for most versions of Internet Explorer as well as other browsers.
