Remove AntiVirus 2009 and other Malware and Spyware

There is a chance a computer you use has been infected with malware or spyware. The most widespread malware calls itself, “AntiVirus 2009”. It was reported by Microsoft in December 2008 that AntiVirus 2009 has infected 394,000 computers worldwide. Who knows how many computers it has been infected by now, maybe millions?

Here is a just a small list of malicious software and spyware that you may have been infected with. The software I use should be able to remove all of them.

NOTE! Before you attempt to disinfect your computer with the help of the video tutorial below you need to follow the following instructions…
1. Use another, uninfected computer and Click Here to Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for Free
2. Save the file to a USB stick (aka “pendrive”).

ALSO NOTE! In the first part of the video I show you how to temporarily close out the malware or spyware program you have been infected with. Some of you will not be able to do this. In this extreme case you must boot into Safe Mode (with Networkingi) in order to proceed with the installation of Malwarebytes' “Anti-Malware”.

The following instructions will show you how to boot into Safe Mode with Networking enabled…
1. Restart your computer and continuously tap the, "F8" key until you boot into Safe Mode
2. From the Safe Mode menu select, "Safe Mode with Networking". The computer will take about 3-6 minutes to start up.
3. Log into your computer as you normally would. And Yes, the screen and your Windows desktop does look kind of weird in this mode. It is normal.
4. Proceed with the second part of the video below where it asks you to plug in your USB stick.

In the following Malware and Spyware Removal video tutorial I will take you step-by-step and you will easily learn the following...
1. Temporarily close out the malware or spyware that your computer is infected with
2. Install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and update it
3. Perform a full malware and spyware scan of your computer

RE: Troubles with web browsers

Hello,
Sorry to hear about your PC problems.

Here is my suggestion…
1. Download, install and run the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware on your PC http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html (make sure you update it 1st, them perform a FULL scan)
2. Then update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and run a full computer scan once more
3. Do you have your original computer restore CDs/DVD? Maybe it is already on your hard drive and each time you turn on your computer it will says something like, “F10” for a System Restore? Either way use the original factory image. If it gives you 2 options and one of them is named something like, “Destructive” restore/install be sure to select that one.

Troubles with web browsers

I received a similar virus to this, i cant remember but it may have been the same exact one. Long story short it acted like a windows security updated and it ran a psuedo virus scan and then said it found various trojans then explained I must pay for an update. I realized right away I had myself a virus.

For a while I could get on the internet so I dled Malwarebytes and ran it, finding various trojans and I deleted them. However the virus persisted. I repeated and deleted similar trojans. Finally I tried a system restore. Which actually seemed to work, however now that the virus stops reappearing, my web browsers wont access the internet. I know I am connected because it shows this and my internet carrier reads a connection; my roommate is still connectd as well.

Please, if anyone can help me get back online I would greatly appreciate it!

What do you mean by, nothing happens?

I assume you scanned your PC with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and removed any malware you had on your PC just like in the video tutorial? Then after that what did you do or what happened?

Help

Plz help i scan my pc and i took out the virus but nothuing happens

Boot into Safe Mode to take care of your Malware infection

For your particular problem I highly recommend booting into Safe Mode, specifically "Safe Mode with Networking" to fix your program. Then after you are in Safe Mode plug in the USB stick and continue the process from there.

The specific instructions for booting into "Safe Mode with Networking" are above in the post.

Malware

Hi there.I am following all instructions in the video to rid the comp of the anitivirus 2009..I have pcdefender as the problem....it wiped out my installed security and will not let me reinstall and run it.

I have saved the installer for the free anti-malware on the usb stick from another infection free comp....when I put the stick in, open the stick and click on install..I get a 3 second hour glass and then nothing!

Any suggestions.....I've been at this for 3 days now!!!
Thanks to anyone with a quick fix! bye
