Adobe Flash, Shockwave, Acrobat and Sun Microsystems Java plug-ins/players are among the most popular plug-ins/players on the Internetⁱ today. You will eventually run across a website or media file that requires the plug-ins/viewers to be installed before you can access the content.

In my previous tutorials I have showed you how to find, download and install each one. Some people have reported to me that the plug-ins or players were not downloaded or installed properly after following my tutorials. Upon further investigation it appears that the plug-ins/players were in fact successfully downloaded and installed. The error was really the lack of feedback from the plug-ins/players at the end of the installation. Some of them do not give any type of confirmation message informing you everything was installed correctly or they actually leave you with an error message in the end despite a successful install. I created this tutorial for everybody to use AFTER they have downloaded and installed the plug-ins or readers of their choice.
