Moderator:  Regarding your tutorial on My Defrag: Microsoft has said they've replaced the user's option to either schedule periodic defragmentation of any HHD, or to do so manually, with an auto-defrag function which runs very slowly on a daily basis. I know very tech-savvy users who rely on their PC operational quality in their professions who are comfortable with this upgrade to Vista and 7. What is the actual value here, with "MyDefrag"?      -Starman52

Stand-alone defraggers like MyDefrag organize/optimize PC files better than the standard defragger that is built into Windows. Windows 7 definitly does a better job than Windows XP at optimizing your PC.

Since creating the MyDefrag tutorial there have been other free defraggers that have come up. Currently I would recommend Disk Defrag by Auslogics over the older MyDefrag.
