hi Rojo  Smiley
this is the external hard drive im using.

http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Data-Storage/Desktop-Hard-Drives/WDAU1000BK

i find it excellent for backing up all my data,it is a desktop external tho so it runs off a power supply/AC adapter.the only problem i have is sometimes after using it for a long time, when i go to safely remove hardware theres another process using it.i ether run Ccleaner,or open my task manager and endtask explorer.exe and try again.when that fails i will restart my computer so i dont loose the data i just backed up. it also has a fast transfer rate.works on Linux aswell.
the brand Seagate is also good.

Hi,

I went today to a place named "Micro Center" which is supposed to have cheaper prices and I looked around for this thing... There were to many brands and I don't know which one to pick. So, if you guys know about external hard drivers ( Toshiba, Samsung, Seagate, WD, Hitachi etc...) please let me know what you think.

Thanks guys.

Hi Rojo,

Been addicted to the new MMO PC game “Rift” for over a month now. I almost dream about it, lol.

I just had my work buy me a Seagate external HDD. It is from the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex series. The one Davo linked to is also good. At home I kind of make my own. I buy an external enclosure and then  I purchase a large capacity hard drive to go in it (which is usually from Seagate). I tend to upgrade my hard drives or build myself a new computer every year or so. I also use the older hard drives with the external enclosure.
Here is a really good external enclosure for hard drives that I recommend if you decide to go that route:

I am not sure what capacity you are looking for so here is a link to a 500 GB and a 2 TB hard drive. They can be easily used with the Vantec Enclosure I linked above:

500 GB
http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barracuda-7200RPM-Internal-ST3500418AS-Bare/dp/B001VKYA5E/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1304806959&sr=1-6

2 TB
http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barracuda-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST2000DL003/dp/B004CCS266/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1304806959&sr=1-9

I also rarely purchase anything from local computer stores anymore since they are usually a lot more expensive than buying online from Amazon. I only buy something there if I need the item NOW and can't wait more than a few days until I get the item.

Lol, you made me laugh with your addiction Tongue I'm playing "Divine Souls" and been addicted to it as you are with "Rift" the huge difference is that mine is for free lalala lol.

Those look like you have to plug it to the wall, I'm looking for something portable that uses only the USB. and I'm looking for a hmmm 750GB-1TB one.

I have some in my watch list on eBay.

Change topic... lol. The laptop is amazing.. I'm loving it OMG. At first I didn't even touched haha I was like.. *.* is a treasure *.* haha. Well after a month of waiting it was worth it. Thanks Joey Cheesy

If you are looking for something that does not have a power adapter that plugs into the wall and is USB powered then I’d go with this one from Seagate:
http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-FreeAgent-Ultra-Portable-External-STAA1000100/dp/B003ELOSI2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1304815402&sr=1-1

I saw the trailer for Divine Souls. It looks like an MMO game of a modern day Street Fighter. I want to play it but I can’t. Between that and Rift I would never leave my house, not even to go to work, lol.

Glad you like the laptop. It can do anything and do it pretty fast Grin
If I weren't buying the Samsung Galaxy S II phone when it comes out I might have been looking into a similar laptop  Smiley
btw, the Samsung Galaxy S II cell phone is the best phone in the world, that is why I want it, lol.

Well I chose the following:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Seagate-FreeAgent-Go-External-Drive-750GB-New-Box-/180660369397?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D9020216185676268619

hmm crap that's a long link hehe. Is for a gift I'm doing to a person that doesn't need that much of a space so I think that would make the job Tongue What you thing Joey?

I don't like the system that Rift have... I mean that automatic attack I just don't like it hehe I found this web site were this guy looks into like every kind of game and he shows us how it is, how you play, etc... with a video and a text is pretty cool, if you wanna check it out here is the link for that web site:

http://mmohuts.com/

That cell phone looks sick.. but I don't remember why I just don't like Samsung hehe I have a BlackBerry Torch and the only thing I don't like is that it's a BlackBerry.. yes that's the only thing I don't like.. you must be like what?? that doesn't make any sense at all lol. Well I don't like that because is not compatible with so much staff.. they don't have that many of apps to add, the data plan is more expensive than for the other cell phones so yeah.. that sucks.

And she have to love it! because if she don't.... I don't know lol Tongue

Let me ask you guys something. As you can see is a 750GB HD, well I opened to see if it works properly, it does I wanna keep it now lol. However, it says 698GB I know it have some backup system in it, but that takes that much space out? even though it doesn't have anything in it?

Thanks guys Smiley I love this web Tongue.

PS: Joey new game lol... "Vindictus" is so cool and addictive.

Good choice of drive. Every drive formats to something lower than the advertised spec. 698 GB seems a little low but it is probably about right.

Thanks for the game site link. Will check it out  Smiley

You are correct, the phone talk does not make any sense. Lol

Btw, I found out that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be delayed for release in the US for weeks but probably months since it is having record sales in Asia and the UK. It is even beating iPhone 4 sales records in some countries like Korea. I guess they can’t make enough for the demand. Also I heard it will probably come out as an AT&T phone. I thought it was going to be a T-Mobile phone. I want T-Mobile service since they have the fastest 4G service at the moment.
So I looked up my #2 choice and I found out it was just release in US soil this month. The, T-Mobile G2x aka “LG Optimus 2x”. Has a dual-Core CPU and still does way more than what I need it for, lol.

OMFG! Vindictus looks so damn sweet! I also love Valve ever since they came out with Half-Life 1. I must not view any more Vindictus videos or else I will not have any free time and even call in sick to  work  Shocked

Vindictus is crazy.. I love it, but if you would loose everything you got because of that.. just don't play it lol.
