i have a set of headphones/microphone that i used successfully some time ago on messenger. I`ve inserted the plugs into what i think is the right jacks at the front of the computer tower, i.e. icons-headphones and microphone. I tried it on "Sound recorder" and "Audacity" but no response at all. Any ideas? Smiley

Hi Terrace. 1st test out your headset by plugging them in the rear connections. If they work then it rules out the headset not working.

If your headset works in the rear connections…
- Plug them in the front
- Go to your taskbar, the bottom-right side where the time is displayed
- There should be a small icon there that is associated with your audio/sound card, click it (sometimes you need to Right-click it)
- Look within those audio/sound settings. See if you could direct the computer to Enable/Turn On the front connections

I tried what you said but no luck, so i bought a new webcam with mic and that works well. Must be something on the old one doesn`t work out on my computer now. Cheers. Grin
