hi raph  Smiley
if you look at the perimeter of the key board you should find a few plastic clips or pins that hold the keyboard to the laptop.
very cearfuly with a needle or screwdriver press the clips one at a time, this should pop the k/board out of its seat/cradle.
i emphasize the word careful, becoz if one of the k/board buttons pops off the k/board,it is quite frustrating to fit it back in place.
take out the battery and unscrew the the covers under the laptop.
if your using an air compressor, turn the regulator down to about  5(five) P.S.I. and blow the laptop from a distance, gradually getting closer.the plan is to send the dust out of all open vents and covers that you just removed.
if your able to get to the processors fan, unscrew the fan (but dont unclip the processor unless you have thermal paste to reapply)
with the fan, make sure its spinning well (a push with the fingers should make it spin easy also doing a few rotations)
if its not spinning well you can ether replace the fan or repair it.
to repair it all you need to do is turn the fan upside down,in the centre it should have a small sticker, carefully peel half of the sticker off.
this will expose the bearing,if you have any oil (the type you oil a bike chain with),or perhaps a good lubricant, DO NOT USE GREASE  or  WD 40.
apply a drop of oil to the bearing, spin the fan and wipe any eccess oil off,put the sticker back in place.if if doesnt stick any more just use a small piece of tape to restick it down.
screw it all back the same way you removed it.the key board should click back in place just line it up and press down on it.

Davo is describing a very thorough cleaning.

If you are scared to mess with the keyboard then at least flip the laptop upside down and unscrew all the little compartments. And blow the air in there. 1 of the compartments will be where the CPU is. Blowing the dust out of the CPU area will help a lot. Also see if any of the compartments are connected to any vents. Blow the dust out through there.
