hi joey,
a good friend of mine has asked me to come laptop shopping with him tomorrow.
in like 12 hours fom posting this.
im currently tutoring/teaching him what i know, and would like to get the best laptop i can get for him. hes not playing games that require great CPU and graphics, but i want him to be happy with it for years to come.and as technology advances i want it to be able to keep up.
this one got my attention straight away.

the   ODD DVD Super Multi Dual Layer
is this a DVD burner or just a DVD player?

this next link is to all the notebooks and laptops at many of the various shops this company has and hope it works at your end.were prepared to travell for the best we can get for a good price.
if the above isnt as good as i hope, could you please do a quick search for one thru the link?
thanks.

P.S. im trying to avoid the Toshiba Satellite's because a few years ago people complained about overheating issues.perhaps that has been fixed with newer versions(im unsure).
thanks again.

hi again, this is what we ended up getting.
Asus A54H-SX204V Notebook
http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Computers-and-Notebooks/Computer-Notebooks-and-Laptops/SYSX204V;jsessionid=(J2EE7737300)ID0062284550DB12509593808669280258End;saplb_*=(J2EE7737300)7737350

it has a great index experiance rating. i looked at so many laptops and notebooks that im now going off memory untill we set it up. but the graphics was high rated(like in the 6.1 - 6.9 area)
and the overall rating was above 6(again from memory)
im hoping we made the right choice.and im so impressed with the floor model i played with, that if hes not happy with it, i will buy it off him myself.

Hi Davo. That is a good choice for laptop, as long as he does not play games like MW3 or BF3. Those games require expensive laptops with graphics cards built for playings games. Other than that the laptop will be really fast for everything Internet related (like what most of us buy/use laptops for).
