how to check video card on windows 7 pc's

hi if you are looking for the specific make and model of  your card,a free portable program i like is called SIW.

the freeware version is fine.'SIW Without Installer'

this will show you everything you need to know about everything on your PC,from product and regestration keys,to,your motherboard,graphics card,etc...(everything).
if you want to check the health of your graphics card,go to 'start' right click 'computer' click 'properties' go to 'performance information tools' click on it.  then click on 'advance tools'.
scroll down to 'generate a system health report'. run and view the report.you will be looking for any lights not green. the graphics info is in 'Basic System Checks' area. open 'hardware device and driver checks'.this will tell you how many test and passes were conducted.
