A lot of people today playing World of Warcraft are experiencing errors. Most of the errors are the same, "launcher cannot obtain patching information". A patch has not been released yet. But a few people have had some luck with the following fix…

1. Download and install the free CCleaner from http://www.piriform.com (do not use this program yet)

2. If you have any custom Proxy settings (most people do not but a few do), remove them

3. With the computer turned ON, disconnect your DSL or Cable Internet modem/router. Disconnect the Power AND Network/Data cable (leave this disconnected)

4. Using CCleaner, run the “Cleaner” and “Registry” options. Make sure you CHECK the “DNS Cache” option under the Cleaner>System settings
Here is a CCleaner tutorial in case you need it: http://www.cleartechinfo.com/Learn-How-To-CCleaner-Clean-Optimize-Free-Up-Hard-Drive-Space-Windows

5. Restart your PC

6. Wait AT LEAST 30 minutes with your DSL or Cable modem/router disconnected, THEN plug everything back in (your computer should still be on)

7. Right after plugging your Internet modem/router RESTART your PC once again

8. After your PC restarts and your internet is working again, Play WOW
