Hello. I am sorry to say that those PC specs will not run COD: Modern Warfare 3. Main reason is the ATI Mobility HD 4500 series graphic card is well below the minimum specs. This will put extreme stress on the CPU. As it is the Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 is a little below the required minimums for MW3.

Hi mclovin. Like the name  Grin

The graphics card is good for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 standards. The RAM meets the minimums. The problem on this laptop is the Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz. MW3 requires a minimal of 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo to run. If you had a 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo you might be able to run it at the lowest graphics settings with some tweaks, but the 1.66 GHz Core 2 Duo will run MW3 very laggy during battle. It will be unplayable.

I recommend taking your Toshiba to a laptop shop and asking how much they would charge you for a processor upgrade. The MW3 minimum is a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo but I recommend asking them what is the fastest Intel Core 2 Duo processor you can upgrade it to and have that one installed. If you still have some extra cash after the CPU upgrade expense I recommend upgrading to 4 GB of RAM. That RAM will help with overall system performance, not just MW3 gameplay.

Btw, if they say they have other Intel CPUs they can install, DO NOT install a regular Intel “Dual Core” or Intel “E” series dual core processor. Those CPUs are SLOW for MW3 gaming. An Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz processor will run MW3 as fast or faster than an Intel Dual Core 3.6 GHz processor.

Hey, I read your page on system requirements for MW3, and it says quite clearly that my GMA X4500MHD won't run the game.  I would just like to know why not, if that's a question that you can answer.  I've been playing Portal 2 now for a few weeks (without Game Booster) with no problems other than very mild graphical lag when I get to certain more graphics intensive areas (like bigger spaces, presumably because there is more stuff to process).  I've been checking numerous sites to get a better idea of how MW3 will run on my laptop, because I'd really like to play it if possible.  One site I checked listed my system as incapable of running Portal 2 because of the gpu, but it said I was ok to run MW3 on low settings.  Since I am indeed capable of running Portal 2 despite what the site says, logic dictates that if that site is anywhere close to correct I should be able to run MW3 with equal or less graphical lag to that which I experience during Portal 2 (on low settings), which is fairly minimal.  I'm using a Lenovo T500 with a Core 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz) and 4GB RAM.  Any input would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to waste money.  Happy holidays!

Hi firebird. The sites that scan your system and check for game compatibility are not always 100% correct, even my favorite (YouGamers.com).

Portal 2 minimum requirements are low compared to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 minimums. The makers of Portal 2 list that Intel HD graphic cards will work with Portal 2. The CPU requirements for Portal 2 even states that it will run with an Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz.

MW3 will choke with an Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz. It needs a decent speed Intel Core 2 Duo like the one you have. MW3 also needs a fast “dedicated” graphics card. The Intel graphics cards are “integrated” and share memory with the system. Integrated graphic cards also don’t process fast paced, highly graphical games like MW3 and BF3 that well, so the computers CPU needs to work extra harder when playing those games.
MW3 would probably install on your system. But even at the lowest graphics settings the Intel GMA X4500MHD would struggle to processes the game smoothly. At best it would lag so much you would dislike the game. At worst your graphics card and CPU would work so hard that they would overheat and crash your computer.

The only Intel integrated graphics card I know that can process MW3 is the fastest Intel card out right now, Intel HD 3000. And it still needs a very fast Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor to do most of the work. Even then you can play at very low settings and it might lag once in a while, like when there are explosions all around you or if you are playing Free For All.

Thanks Joey.  Yeah, it seems odd for that site to have listed my computer as incapable of Portal 2 but capable of MW3.  MW3 is a much faster paced game with lots of unpredictable intense graphics sequences.  I won't mention the site's name for the sake of their integrity, but I gotta have some common sense here and say they're probably way off on this.  I appreciate your quick response, too!
