Hello,
You will be able to run Star Wars: Empire at War at high settings, mainly because it is an old game that the Intel 3000 graphics can handle pretty decently.
Team Fortress 2 is a different story. It will be able to run this game but you must do 2 things…
1, update your Mac OS/software to the latest updates. Update everything. I remember there was some update in there for Macbook Pros that fixed a graphics issue. I just don’t remember what day this year the update was released. It is also just a good idea to update everything.
2, Before you run Team Fortress 2 go into the graphics settings. Adjust the settings to Low, then play the game
Alienware PCs are very nice. But you overpay for them because of the awesome looking cases they have.
I recommend buying a PC from Dell or HP with a 3+ Ghz Core i3 processor. Then separately buy a an ATI HD 6870 graphics card. When the Dell or HP PC arrives just install the new graphics card. This will be a fast gaming PC that can easily play any game.
I went on HP.com and built a PC I would recommend to buy then took a screen shot.
