Hi,

Here are the 3 most important specs to look for when buying a Sims 3 compatible laptop…
CPU: Purchase a laptop with an Intel Core i3, even the cheapest Core i3 will run the Sims 3 and Sims Medieval very fast (Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs are also excellent but expensive choices)

RAM: 2 GB is the minimum; I recommend 3 GB or more

Graphics: Do Not buy a laptop with an “integrated” / “on-board” graphics card. Even if they pass the Sims 3 hardware requirements there is still a small chance it will not run properly. Those type of graphics cards are attributed to many Sims 3 / Sims Medieval problems.
I recommend buying a laptop with a “dedicated” graphics card for worry-free Sims gaming

As far as how many GB of hard drive space you need. All new 2011 laptops will have more than enough space to install many different games. You don’t need to worry about this spec.
