Hey Joey, i just got Hydrophobia: Prophecy a couple of days ago, and i do as i usually do, i turn up the graphic to the highest possible.(you gotta enter and leave game everytime you do it in Hydrophobia...) Anywho, i then as usually IF i get low frames(20fps or so) i turn off or crank down anti-aliasing and antistrophic filter. Anywho even WITH it turned down, hydrophobia STILL ran at only 15 fps, so i turned down graphics to medium(all), i got 15-17fps... This is were I get confused, i then turned the resolution down from 1920x1080 to 1280x1024, and i got 20fps. Now this is were I get very very confused, caus i run black ops at 45fps with maxed out settings(full hd, 18.4 inch), but when i put black ops to my 32 inch flatscreen with a resolution of 1366x768 i get 90fps. So WTF do i only go from 15/17 FPS to 20fps, when i do it hydrophobia?(actually lower resolution...) AND how come game-debate says black ops is MORE demanding than hydrophobia and that I should be able to play it at high(higher than black ops, which i max out xD) when i f**king only get 20fps??? Oka i tried adjusting graphics, no anti or antistrophic ofc, and i see that the one that takes alot is water graphics... Anywho the details doesn’t really do much when i increase, i don’t get that much lower fps(2-5fps at most usually.... xD) so what do i? How can i get hydrophobia to run properly? And btw as you probably know, anti-aliasing and antistrophic filter isn’t necessary if you got good resolution(1600x1050/1600x900, or such). Anywho thank you very much in advance:)

Hydrophobia and Call of Duty: Black Ops have very similar requirements. The minimum required graphics card is the same “8600 GT”. They both need a minimum of an Intel Core2Duo cpu to run. Although Black Ops needs a slightly faster Core2Duo to run.

I’d recommend 1st seeing if there is an update/patch for Hydrophobia. It sounds to me like it is an issue with the game. There have been at least 4 patches since the game was released. There might actually be double that.

2nd, fully update Windows 7 via MS Windows Update.
In case you need it here is a guide I created that will show you how to easily update Windows 7 (watch the video at the bottom of the page).

3rd, always try to keep your Graphics drivers up-to-date. I forgot which 1 you have. Go to either the nVidia or ATI site to update to the latest drivers.
