I Don't know if my computer is powerful or fast enough. I can get into the game of SWTOR, but, the FPS is really S..............L............O..............W / lotsa Lag. And, I get these vertical lines across my screen that jumbles the picture/graphics.

I need to know if my computer can handle this game. Bioware is extremely vague about the requirements.
I'm thinking about buying a whole new system around $700. But if the computer that i have now just needs a little "tweeking", I would be happy to pay much less to upgrade it.

So, Please, Help me. I've been frantically itching to play this game. My computer  is frustrating me!!!!!! Tell me whats wrong and how to remedy this problem even if I have to play this game on the lowest settings.

Here is my computers Specs.   :

Hello. Thanks for posting your specs.

The CPU is good. Passes the minimums by a bit.
The nVidia GeForce 6150SE is a very slow, outdated card for SWTOR standards. It will run but needs to be paired with a computer with a fast CPU and 3+ GB of RAM.
The computer is under equipped with RAM by SWTOR standards.

I could give you the usual tweaks but with those specs SWTOR would install fine but it would run laggy, even at the lowest graphics settings. I recommend buying a new desktop PC. But there is no need to spend $700 on a PC that MIGHT run it at medium to high settings.

You can get a PC that will run SWTOR at MAX settings for about $590.
Here is what I would buy…

$449, http://j.mp/yqekVe - buy this computer. It has a very fast processor that will run 2011/2012+ games super smooth when it is combined with a fast graphics card.

$140, http://j.mp/wCjwTc Radeon HD 680 graphics card.
The graphics card on my gaming system is slower than the HD 6850 and my computer can play SWTOR at max settings.

NOTE: Even if you have never installed a graphics card before it will be very simple. The hardest part for me when I install a graphics card on a new computer is opening up the case. There is usually a button or 2 that when pressed pops open the side panel in second. I am just not patient enough to find it, lol. But once I get the case open it is extremely easy. You can find numerous videos on YouTube that visually show you how to install a graphics card.

Awesome, fast response!!! Cool  Thank you ALOT for giving me detailed info about this. I just wish that Bioware could and should have been more helpful and specified about their appropriated specifications on the SWTOR game. Roll Eyes Shocked Angry Embarrassed

Again, thank you.
