Hello, I'm new at the forums and know not much about tweaking config files but i did check out the video you have on making this game run faster. I have applied a feww things for single player, Though the sound seems to be stuttering a bit. Now for multiplayer i am not sure what to tweak or change in the config. Also Here's my rig, maybe this is what's slowing me down. But i don't go for pretty graphics, i go for performance. Hope u can help me out. Smiley

SO: W7 64 bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.2 GHz
4GB RAM
NVIDIA 8800 GT

If there's anything that can be done with what i have, it would be appreciated since getting a new comp is out of the question for now.  Sad

Hey Rick3y,

I see the problem. The Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2 GHz processor is below the Call of Duty: Black Ops minimum requirements. Even the bare minimum Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz CPU has trouble playing the game so I can see why your E4500 2.2 GHz processor has a tough time.

The performance guide I wrote for Black Ops does have a couple of multiplayer-only performance tweaks (when you edit the config.cfg file).

I highly recommend performing every single tweak in the video (including the 7 config.cfg tweaks written in the guide).

If you perform every single tweak in the video and it is still slow you only have 1 more tweak you can do to make it run faster. At the very end of the guide I posted a write-up by our site member James. It is colored in blue.

Yes, those 7 tweaks are entered the exact way I show you in the video when editing the config.cfg file.

Yes, the settings for multithread and multigpu are correct.
