I have a HP Pavillion DV9000t CTO Entertainment Notebook. My computer crashed so I bought a new hard drive.  I reinstalled Windows XP and Sims 3 only.  The game worked fine until I installed other programs including Microsoft Office and Norton 360. Now the game flashes and eventually blacks out and cuts off.  Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hello,

Try disabling Norton 360 before you play the game. Norton 360 may think your game is a virus or malicious piece of software (which it is not, as long as it is a legal copy).
