I receive junk emails selling things and the email address is not mine but some mix of other stuff having my name in it but not my full email address. Any suggestions how they get to my computer without the right email address and also how to stop them alltogether??

I am not sure how they do it but they found a way of not listing your email address when they sent it to you even though they did send it to your email address.

Do you have Gmail or Live mail? If you do mark each spam email as spam within their services. It will learn the types of emails that get delivered as spam and eventually just skip the inbox and send the emails in your spam folder.

Thanks Joey. I`m just using Outlook 2007 and i use the junk email block sender but they still come into my junk email folder.

By the way you probably have seen on the news about the devastating floods in Brisbane Australia , (a sister city to your Brisbane in California), and now a monstrous cyclone (similar to your twisters) is bearing down up in North Queensland at speeds that could reach 300 kilometres an hour. Hope it weakens.

I read that things have calmed down this past week but there was a lot of damage that had already been done. I hope you are in good health.

I read that the damage was really bad. Over 100 million dollars. Sorry to hear that but glad that you and your house are okay.

Thanks. The cost is running in to the billions. Many homes destroyed some people didn`t survive and insurance companies are playing hard to get. My photo shows the Wivenhoe dam (at 197%) in Queensland designed to release water at certain stages, which caused more flooding.

I can't read the small writing that names the surrounding cities that well. How far are you from the Darwin cyclone?

Darwin is up the top end of Australia in the Northern Territory, over a thousand miles away so we`re not affected here in Brisbane. My map shows Darwin at the top and Brisbane to the right in Queensland on the east coast. Smiley

Christmas 1974 cyclone Tracy destroyed Darwin.

This one is a long way from us but in 1974 most of Brisbane was badly affected by flooding with the cyclone moving that far down south. The photo shows just one part of the city in Edward Street in 1974. Smiley
