I frequently get a send/receive error, when i open Outlook 2007, down in the right just above the taskbar. I think it probably happens on incoming mail and with it i can`t open my Firefox 3.6 browser and home page either.I put my pointer on the little monitor in the taskbar and it always says connected. Do you have any suggestions? Roll Eyes

I found that when i send a webmail email to myself and open Outlook 2007 this send/receive error occurs. (attached). As it says in the error report " another mail application is assessing it". Is this normal? Roll Eyes Smiley

The email is not associated with Firefox unless your Internet is down. Even if the icon on the taskbar says you are connected that may not be true. On my home computer sometimes my Internet goes down for a minute but on the taskbar it says I am connected.

When your email is not connecting, open up Firefox and try to go to a site like Yahoo.com. If that does not work either then it is not your email it is your Internet.

I sent a webmail to myself (sent Gmail from Outlook 07 to the same Gmail account). It went perfect.

Thank You. I tried going to Yahoo.com and others while the "send/receive error" is there and the the internet is connected. I just sent an email to myself from webmail and also from Outlook 2007 and the send/receive error is there. When the emails came in the send/receive error is gone. My attachment "send/receive message" says "mailbox temporarily unavailable as another message is being delivered". I checked the account settings and all is ok. It seems to be happening on incoming mail?Smiley

I see the error now. Thanks for the screen capture.

That is a very unique message. I do not get that in my outlook 07.

I see it is a BigPond email address. They probably offer some sort of online guide on the proper settings for POP3 or IMAP access. Definitely check out the guide on their website and see if all the settings are 100% correct.

This error occurs when i open Outlook 2007 and, it`s usually when mail is incoming. When the mail has finished coming in, the error has gone and send/receive complete comes up just above the task bar bottom right as normal. The error saying "your mailbox is temporarily unavailable as another message is being delivered or another email apllication is accessing it" doesn`t seem normal. I have been in touch with Bigpond technical support and checked all Outlook 2007 account settings and all is ok. This error will occur several times one after the other and then not occur. Smiley

Perhaps such issue might resolve with the help of an advice of specialist or a tool. But I thing it would be better to work out it next software. Because of I quite well know this program and I'm sure in it - export data from pst.

Thank You. I have had a Telstra technician look into the problem. He tested with an ethernet cable for 7 days and the problem wasn`t happening. After the 7 days the Netgear usb adapter was reconnected (see attached) and the problem was back. His opinion was that the Netgear adapter is the problem. So, he recommended that i install a wireless pc card inside the computer. I haven`t installed it yet and i`ll let you know how it went. Smiley
