How-To Install the Adobe Flash Player on Internet Explorer 8If you are using Internet Explorer and the top Yellow Bar does not appear, preventing you from installing the Adobe Flash Player the following info may help…Your Firewall, Anti-Virus and/or Security software is preventing the Yellow Bar from appearing, thus not allowing you to successfully install the Adobe Flash Player. I can't see your computer so I really don't know what you have installed on your Windows XP or Vista computer. You may have one or a combination of the following… Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm, BitDefender, E-Set, BlackIce, Outpost, TrendMicro, Kaspersky or possibly 20 others programs. Whatever the case you need to experiment by temporarily turning each program off (or exiting the programs) and try to install the Adobe Flash Player again.
Another possibility it could be is the Google, Yahoo, Ask or other Toolbar with a very strong popup blocker. A strong popup blocker can see your installation of the Adobe Flash Player as a threat to your computer. Of course this is a False threat but the popup blocker does not know you really want to install Flash on your PC. You need to disable the popup blocker. Disabling the Google Toolbar popup blocker did not work in the past so I had to fully uninstall it so Flash could install correctly.
Here is exactly what to do in order to get the Adobe Flash Player working properly...1. Uninstall anything on your computer that is related to "Adobe Flash", "Flash Player" and "Adobe Player". My favorite way of uninstalling Adobe Flash from my computer is using the free Revo Uninstaller (here is a Revo Uninstaller Tutorial)
