Asus laptop wireless internet running super slow?

ok so heres my problem, and if you know the answer or how to help me, please dumb down the answer for me a bit, im not exactly savvy with computers.

i'll try to list the problems in steps
1. internet is running super slow, i've had problems with it before in my previous home, but i never really tried wireless much, as i used ethernet. but i could never connect to the wireless router before.
2. Internet was working fine, but i turned my laptop off, then back on. it worked for about 5 minutes then stopped working. after about 6 hours it started working again with no slowdowns and no problems.

Meh you have the same problem i had a long while ago.... The way i fixed it was changing internet provider. It also depends on the speed of your connection. Hope i helped

if your internet is being slow might wana check out OpenDNS.com helps you with tips on increasing internet speed. Also download Google Chrome or Firefox!
