One website doesn`t remember or offer to remember my username and passwords. It doesn`t present the box "remember password" either. Sometimes after i have logged in and come back later the username and password will appear when i click on the login box, but most times i have to type the details in because it`s not remembered. I have seen on "Google" **Force Firefox to remember but it`s not working for me** Any suggestions? Do you have a fix?

Hi Terrace, if the website starts with "https://..." there is a chance it will not store your username or password because they want to be extra secure for their users. A site that doesn't usually save my info when I go on it is my personal bank site.

Hi Joey, Yes it`s a "HTTP". I`ve been googling and found on How-To Geek>" force browser to remember usernames/passwords". I tried all they said but it hasn`t worked for me, unless there`s something i haven`t done right. Do you know about this?

My Internet is weird here at work. We have filtered Internet. It does not display the website properly. I will have to wait until I get home to check it out.

hi terrace. i personally rang golden casket to verify if the site will allow saved passwords (PH-131868). they said the site is designed much like a banking website that will not allow you to save passwords. therefore you will need to type the password in every time you log into that site. if you were able to store passwords in the past but not now,the reason for this is that golden casket have just had some upgrades to there site. i hope this helps.

Yes, i rang them too, but i have seen ways to "force websites to remember username/passwords" but i haven`t had any progress. By the way i`m experiencing Clear Tech Info is very slow to load in some areas. Is that happening to you?

hi again. if you manage to save the password then you will prob get bumped off goldencasket site from there security as they have just amped everything up..
as for your speed and connections/disconnection etc... CTInfo is blistering along at my end taking less that 1second to move around posts,messages,etc...its been good for many days now. i could write for days on-end in regards to bigpong and there lack of abilitys, service, techs, support etc... at the end of the day bigpond have the monopoly over the whole of australia and rent there spare line to the other companys. australias internet is so bad that i can confidently state that the 3rd world countrys have better internet than we do. im on ADSL2 liberty/elite 200GB contract,my average speed is 10Kb/s to 700kb/s. i max out at 1mb/s and have an upload of 70kb/s(never changes).(been the same for 4 years at 5 different locations, once dropping to 2kb/s) aslong as i can goto bigpond homepage and hover the mouse on 'help' then let it drop down to 'technical support' and click that. scroll down to 'bigpond online storage' click download. ok,aslong as that particular download is 1mb/s then bigpond states there is nothing wrong with the internet.despite not being able to get to many servers around the world. 'Its Actualy Quite Embarresing'. in australia we dont need an internet filter coz we have bigpond for that, and they would prob ruin the filter anyhow lol. i fought bigpond for over 6 months, having to get a telecommunications ombnisman involved and threaten legal action. i won the case and they waved $600 worth of bills i refused to pay aswell as alowing me to cancel the contract(im shopping for a new ISP at the moment and i suggest you do the same). 2 good ones are 'Internoide'(best), and 'Spintel'(same price as bigpnd with better homeline offers/prices support etc...). i collected so much data, video and photographic evidence that they didnt stand a chance. customers have rights but very few are aware of them. various download speed test sites will show different speeds, aswell as different servers will show different transfer rates,so it takes a long time to gather factual evidence. i could list over 100 websites that bigpond has trouble reaching and if you do reach the sites, its so slow.hotmail can somtimes take 20minutes to get to the inbox.i dont use my bigpond account coz once i signin my account goes absolutely crazy, having to crash the browser due to not being able to exit. trust me,its your Internet Service Provider. also a good virus spy and malware scan might help also.

so was BBC library slow on the cleartechinfo site aswell? do you know who there service provider is? this would be very strange because library's and government computers normally run off a 'main frame' system and arnt usually like the internet most people would have in there homes.there systems need to be secure fast and responsive

quote- Checked BCC library and the speed is very quick. Clear tech is usually fast quote- What do you mean>"so was BBC library slow on the cleartechinfo site aswell?"
what i mean is; the library computer is quick, but you state CTInfo is usually fast. this gave me the impression that CTInfo is normaly fast but on the library computer it sounds like its usually fast(ie.still slow). i appologise if i read it wrong.
the slow speeds i get, i find turning off the router and switching off at the wall, then after a few minutes turn it all back on. this should change your IP address(but not the subnet mask) i find turning it off and on several times a day will change the speed of my internet.i do this like 5 to 10 times a day until i get a good speed and then leave it on. its very strange that you get speeds of 100mb/s from reading previous posts, but i have speeds of less than 1mb/s.but yet my connection to this website is great.
have a look at the bottom of your browser, where it loads the websites. in explorer it will also tell me the files that are loading(bottom left).firefox my be different,im on a linux machine so im not seeing what your seeing.but i find the temp files/cookies that take a long time to load are 'double click' and 'about blank'. these to files/cookies are what bigpond has trouble loading at my end.

Clear Tech is definiely very slow in the recent two days. I checked other sites on my computer and they load fast. Also, have a look at my screenshot below and you`ll see the black patch top left. I haven`t noticed that before. Is that normal?

hello again i have just been on the cleartech info site with not a single problem running the following computers and browsers. Linux operating system running firefox3 XP-pro running both internet explorer8 and firefox9 Xp internet explorer no addons windows7 running internet explorer8 windows7 explorer8 no addons a note book running windows7 internet explorer8 i have connected using wireless aswell as an ethernet/internet cable. all connected from google.com to cleartechinfo,to recent posts and back to the home page again within less than 2 seconds loading time each page(all compututers). i have dedicated 4 and a half hours of live online help yesterday to this matter and i again suggest you contact your internet service provider and scan your computers for virus, malware and spyware, also try cleaning you temp files and cache using Ccleaner.appart from comming around to your house and formatting your computers and contacting your ISP. there is nothing more i can do.sorry my friend but i have much work to do. and i will pop back to the site and check with a customers virus riddled computer once they arrive with it. yes i have noticed the black square in the top left corner and i assume its a http or java script error.perhaps a browser error.im not sure. please wait for joey in regards to it. thanks. also this is all posted in the wrong section and will have to be moved to the correct area.

I didn`t expect anyone to spend many hours on it. The fact is Clear tech is not performing as usual and if a virus was here it would affect all others. All other sites load very fast. I have run all scanners no virus. Joey is working on it.

Hi Terrace. I tested out https://tatts.com/goldencasket on my computer to see if it could remember my login info. Here is what I did… 1 – Of course I needed to sign up, so I did with some fake AUS address 2 – My favorite browser is Firefox since it is compatible with any website I use it with. I created a fresh, new profile within Firefox for testing purposes. This guarantees that no Firefox add-on will mess with the saving of the passwords since the new Firefox profile is plain. Here is some more info about creating multiple FF profiles in case you are interested: http://www.cleartechinfo.com/Learn-How-To-Create-Multiple-Firefox-3-Profiles3 – I turned off my anti-virus scanner which also acts as a security program to guarantee that it does not get overprotective of me and mess with the test 4 – I opened up my Firefox browser using the new profile and just to make sure there was no cache or Internet junk that will mess with this test I cleared out everything by using the, “Ctrl+Shift then DEL” command. (I didn’t need to do this since it is a new profile with no history or anything but I am very anal when it comes to testing/diagnosing problems) 5 – I went to the site https://tatts.com/goldencasket and logged in with my info. Firefox asked me if I wanted to save my password/info. I opted to Save my password/login info 6 – I browsed around the site for a minute, clicked a few links 7 – I logged out of https://tatts.com/goldencasket and closed my browser 8 – I opened up my Firefox browser again and went to the site. My login details were displayed (password was encrypted with “****”of course). All I had to do was click the “login >” button and it automatically logged in So even though this is an “https” site that deals with money, they still gave you the option to save your passwords. I believe you are using Firefox also. If you have not done so go to the www.Firefox.com site and upgrade to the latest. The past year they went crazy and updated Firefox from v3.6 to v9. When performing the test I used the latest Firefox. Also during the test I chose to select the Log Off button on purpose. But on your end do not do this. Just close the Tab or Browser when you are down vising the site. It will increase the chances for your login info to be there the next time you visit the site.

Yes, creating a new profile on Firefox 9 worked and that site in question does offer to remember the password and it is there to login when i go back to it the same as you did. However, with the new profile, Firefox comes up in a new browser and Google Toolbar, which i installed by installing "addon compatibility reporter" on the number 1 profile, is not there as i would like. I click on the number 1 profile and Google Toolbar is there. I tried the "addon compatibility reporter" on the new profile/browser but it is not doing it. The remember thing is solved thanks to you, but do you have any clues how to get google toolbar on the firefox with the new profile? (I agree though Firefox did go crazy as there just about up to number 10 in a short time.)

I don’t use Google toolbar or any other toolbars since they tend to clutter my browser space and sometimes decrease performance.
I know having the Google Search bar is very convenient when you want to perform a quick search. But with the latest versions of Firefox it is very simple to perform a Google search. All you do is type your Google search query within the address bar and hit Enter on your keyboard.
Test it out - Open up Firefox
- In the address bar where web addresses are displayed, type in any search query like “sharks” and hit Enter on your keyboard
- You will notice that it immediately performs a Google Search for your query
That is just 1 new feature of the latest versions of Firefox. Another is that general web browsing speed has been increased with Firefox version 9.

Thanks Joey. I determidly stay with Google Toolbar because i like it and also Mozilla bluntly made it uncompatible. I have succeeded in getting it on the Firefox browser with rhe new profile-i found "Wlug.net"to download Firefox addons as .xpi files. Also, "remember username and password" is working ok in that site. It`s interesting and handy to know **In the address bar where web addresses are displayed, type in any search query like “sharks” and hit Enter on your keyboard
