your history, temporary internet files (which the antivirus companies love to call dangerous even though very few are), saved passwords, cookies, stuff like that. but firefox lets you choose which ones you kill

COOKIE: A cookie, also known as a web cookie, browser cookie, and HTTP cookie, is a piece of text stored by a user's web browser. A cookie can be used for authentication, storing site preferences, shopping cart contents, the identifier for a server-based session, or anything else that can be accomplished through storing text data.

HISTORY:It stores the links you have visited recently or a while ago...deleting these data will make your capacity more...you can use ccleaner to delete them
