I wasn't sure really where to post this because I have all kinds of problems and it mainly has to do with my wireless connection/firefox.

Lately I have been disconnecting from the internet and a few seconds later it'll come back on; this morning it did it A LOT and my ex had told me its just probably my net but today while I was on firefox something very odd happened, I couldn't do anything and my whole computer went into lock down (eventually, some how I got my computer out of it) and ended up closing firefox all the way. When I went to open it every thing was bigger (letters etc.) and the graphics for some pages seemed way off. I then exited and restarted my computer and tried it again, from there my computer kept telling me "connection lost" even though I was connected to the internet all along - never showed me disconnected unless I restarted the router myself. Then I was trying to sign onto my MSN and it wouldn't let me; my biggest fear was that I got a virus into my computer but I know my virus scanner would of caught something but I did a virus scan and nothing came up; at the time I could only connect to Steam (which is a gaming community for counterstrike etc). So something wasn't right. Eventually my computer stopped doing whatever it was doing and started working. This isn't the first time my computer has done something like this, I'm not sure if it has do with the fact that I'm on wireless or my computer is just old or it really DOES have a virus in it and my scanner isn't picking it up.

Also if you have any idea about my firefox; if I have multiple tabs open when I go to load a different page my firefox freezes and goes into "not responding" for a good 30 seconds before it actually loads the page; any ideas as to why?

Hello. Welcome to the site.  Smiley

Follow this tutorial to make sure you do not have any malicious software on your computer.

After you complete a full malware scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (linked above) tell me what the result was. I have a couple of other things for you to do but you need to make sure you don't have any malware on your PC.
