Losing WiFi signal during use

Using Asus EeePC 1005HA netbook in my house and have a Cisco Small Business Wireless-Gigabit Security Router with VPN WRVS4400N.  Others using the wifi with Acer,Dell,Apple, Toshiba laptops have no problems losing signal.  The Asus will pick up the wifi signal, then lose it, sometimes regain it, then lose again until rebooting the Asus.  What to do?

For testing purposes I would try to connect to another wireless network with the Asus Netbook at a relative or friend's house. Browse the net for while to give it some time to disconnect like it does in your house. Does it do the same thing?

I have used the Asus netbook at many locations out of the house, including other homes, restaurants, hospital, etc and have had no such trouble.  Only have the trouble with my home setup, and no one else with other brands of netbooks and laptops has any trouble ie. good signal, no outage, etc.  thanks

On the Asus, do you have any special network/Internet software install? Of maybe some custom configurations? Maybe VPN software/configuration?
