I am trying to scan a document wirelessly to my laptop. I have the printer (hp officejet j4680) connected to network already and I can print wirelessly. I appriciate any help. thanks

Instead of using the scanning controls on the Printer/Scanner itself, try using the software on the laptop to scan and see what happens.

thanks Joey, I tried your suggestion. I get the massage "scaner not found" . How do I add scanet to wireless network?

Go on the HP site and download the latest, Full Featured Software Package / Drivers for your PC. That might turn on the feature you want.
