Some time ago i posted regarding using aluminium foil to boost signal strength but i don`t remember where i posted it.
However, i`ve had the aluminium foil behind my modem/router which is 30 feet from the computer and the signal goes through two walls. The signal strength improved and has been moderate fluctuating for some time.
Attempting to improve further(I have a wireless card adapter on my computer) i placed a piece of aluminium foil curved around the adapters 3 antennas (not closed) and since doing that the signal strength shows excellent most of the time (never below good) and the mbps high. (see attached). Therefore i have aluminium foil at both ends.
I think by doing that, the signal is being captured more for the antennas. An inexpensive fix. Hope this can help others. Grin

Thanks for the tip terrace. A lot of people want a stronger WiFi signal in their house and most people have aluminum foil. Really good way of saving money while extending your WiFi at home  Smiley

Hi Joey, originally i had Netgear USB adapters (see attached) on my computers and was getting frequent disconnections. My Telstra technician suggested i install Wireless card adapters and since installing them there are no disconnections at all. So, maybe there`s another tip for some to consider. Grin

I guess the wireless card works better since it has a higher powered antenna sticking out of it? The USB Wireless adapters have a little antenna that does not work nearly as well.
