Auto-run

Hi Joey, I need help again >_<. I can't figure out a way to disable auto-run in Windows Vista. I use my USB everyday on many different computers and I don't want to get a virus because of the auto-run feature. Thanks.

Here is the way you disable auto-run (aka "AutoPlay") in Windows Vista

- On the bottom-Left of your keyboard there should be a key with a Windows Logo on it. Press that key and Hold It Down. Then tap the “R” key. A “Run” popup should appear
- Within the Run command popup type, “gpedit.msc” and click the, “OK” button
- Go to, “Computer Configuration” > “Windows Components” > “AutoPlay Policies”
- Select, “Turn Off AutoPlay”
- Select the radio button labeled, “Enabled”
- Right below there is an option, “Turn Off AutoPlay on”. Set that to, “All Drives” just to be on the safe side
- Click the, “Apply” button then, “OK”

I am not sure if you need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. To be on the safe side restart your computer.
