My selected desktop icons keep reappearing after I delete them and reboot my computer.
How do I get rid of selected icons forever??
I have Windows 7.

Hi,

The icons you delete that keep reappearing, are they Windows System icons or are they advertisements or junk that comes with a new computer? If you have a brand new computer what brand is it (HP, eMachine, Dell, etc)?

Joey,

Thanks for answering.  It's not a new computer.  Just icons I added.
I solved the problem by going to:
Computer: Desktop
 and deleting them from there.  So far they have remaned deleted
