The recovery data might be installed in a “hidden partition” on your computer. To access this you must press one of the “F” keys during the startup (“boot”) process. I am not sure what F-key it is or if it might be another key or a combination of keys. I have restored many different models of desktops, laptops and netbooks at work. Almost every different model has a different key or set of keys that will bring up the restore command.

Check the manual and see if it says anything about system restore or operating system restore. If you don’t have a manual visit the Acer site and search for your specific Acer One netbook . There might be a downloadable manual there.

Try this...

1. Shut down your computer
2. Wait at least 5 seconds
3. Hold Down the ALT key and don't let go. Keep on tapping F10 repeatedly until you get to the recovery menu
