This will work on Windows 7, Vista and XP

1. Uninstall any program you are not using with the free “Revo Uninstaller”. Be sure to use Revo’s “Advanced” uninstall method. (this will free up valuable hard drive space so you can store more programs, files, music, movies, etc.)
- Download Revo Uninstaller freeware here http://www.revouninstaller.com/index.html
- Here is a Revo Uninstaller Help Article and Video Tutorial

2. Clean up your computer using the free “CCleaner”. Use CCleaner’s “Cleaner” and “Registry” tools. (This will free up valuable hard drive space and also speed up your computer a bit)
- Download CCleaner here http://www.ccleaner.com/
- Here is a CCleaner Help Article and Video Tutorial http://www.cleartechinfo.com/Learn-How-To-CCleaner-Clean-Optimize-Free-Up-Hard-Drive-Space-Windows

3. Take some load off your CPU and RAM by preventing some of your programs from automatically starting when Windows starts. (this will speed up your computer)
- Here is a tutorial that will show you how to stop programs from auto loading when Windows starts http://www.cleartechinfo.com/How-To-Prevent-Programs-Starting-Windows-Starts-Using-MSConfig

4. Defragment and optimize your hard drive using the free MyDefrag. (this will speed up your computer)
- Here is a link to MyDefrag http://www.mydefrag.com
- Use the “Optimize Monthly” option. NOTE: This will take a LONG time to complete. Depending on the speed and how badly optimized your hard drive is it can take anywhere from 2-6 hours. I usually run this at night right before I go to sleep or when I know I am not going to be home for at least a few hours.

Feedback is welcome and appreciated.  Cool
