my sister installed nero 7 in my computer then i noticed that my cd drive is missing so i looked it up in the net that i need to do something in the registry beacause it may be caused by some programs so i uninstalled nero and did the registry so  after that i restarted my pc then i saw my cd drive came back then i noticed that i cannot play some avi files because it says "xvidcore.dll not found so i downloaded the latest version the after that i restarted my pc and some avi files only play with sound and some avi files say "windows media player encountered a problem while playing the file. For additional assistance, click web help"

Hello. I dealt with the not being able to play .avi videos problem before. The tutorial below will tell you how to solve the problem. Be sure to follow the instructional video at the end of the tutorial.

all of my avi files play well now but when i put them to vegas pro they dont have any audio

Those ".avi" files you have are probably all Divx and/or Xvid. My guess is that the version of Vegas Pro you have does not support Divx and/or Xvid.
