MY Laptop is running super slow!

i need help. my laptop is running soo slow. i have vista 64-bit. the time it takes for my computer to turn on is like 5 minutes. its crazy what  can i do. i have partitioned my harddrive to dual boot windows vista and ubuntu. i unpartitioned it but the choice to boot unbuntu is still there. could that be the problem??

Do you have the original recovery CDs/DVD? Or do you know how to install Vista from scratch?

I would recommend backing up any important files you may have on your laptop to a USB drive or DVD. Then reinstall Vista from scratch, to the state it was when your computer was brand new.

If your work will perfectly done with any one operating system,so you can uninstall any one operating system. There is a main problem is that the there are two operating system. For this reason you laptop work slow and you can de fragment your boot drive regularly.

There could be a few reasons as to why ur pc might be running slow.

try these
1 defrag ur pc

2. go to msconfig,  that will bring up the system configuration then under start up tab uncheck the programs that you dont want to run at start up.

3. while you are still in system configuration go to boot tab then advance options then put a check on number of processors and change it to 2 or more.

Avast
Spybot
malwarebytes
Comodo firewall  (Just the the firewall not the antivirus only use one Antivirus)

If that don't speed up ur pc, then I would recommend backing up any important files, then format and reinstall Windows.
