i let my kid go on the computer and then the computer wont start up, it does blue screen and it says something is missing from the registry,
is there a program that can fix it from another computer?
i can remove the hard drive from that computer and use a usb to hook it up as a external
is there a program that will scan the registry of it and repair it?
i looked at CC cleaner and it doesn't help me that i can see

hi theres a few ways you can fix it or at least recover the data,if your patient Joey will have he most practical and easyest way to do this.
in the mean time try this.
turn the computer on and start tapping F8 before windows starts trying to load.
this will take you to a black screen with different options.
use the keyboard arrows and choose 'last known good configuration' and press enter.
hopefully it will restore your computer to before the problem occured.

i just tried that and it said the same thing
cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\config\software

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode?

With the computer turned Off, turn the computer on then immediately start tapping the "F6" key on the keyboard. Around 10-30 seconds later you will get a Safe Mode Screen. Click the option that says something like, "Last Known Configuration That Worked". Select that option. See what happens.
