Hi All

I need some best solution and who would have tried this already would be great so that they can give me step by step instructions to follow.

I have HP DV5 1203 AX Laptop which comes with Vista Home which is very slow and irritates the user I doesn't like vista because it eats the performance of the machine.

I want to degrade my OS from Windows Vista to Windows XP but I came to this laptop doesn't support Windows XP due to SATA Compatibility.

Same way I found some OS which comes with the Sata Drivers first boot to load Windows XP.

Same way can anyone give me the Windows XP with the appropriate Drivers for DV5 1203 AX so that I can install and use it I need this Windows XP with Sata Drivers as first boot so that I can easily install it in my laptop.

I would be thankful if somebody guides me on this and provide me the Drivers and OS.

Yes, I confirm that HP does not have any XP drivers. There is only 1 other work around. You must go to each manufacturer’s website of every component within the laptop that needs a driver.

If you do not know specifically what you have inside just go to the Vista driver page for your specific laptop model and scan through it. Then Google Search the name of each specific driver title to find the website. If there is no manufacturer then just see what pops up in Google and follow each of those links to see if it leads you anywhere.

I started you off by finding the Video and Audio XP drivers for your laptop
• ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonmob_xp.aspx?type=2.4.2&product=2.4.2.3.1&lang=English
• Sound card (“audio”) http://rapidshare.com/files/138071213/IDT_High_Definition_Audio.7z.html

As for Windows XP itself, any full version copy that you buy from the store will work. It will be hard to find at retail stores but you can get it online from Amazon.com. Here is a link to the full version. It is the cheapest copy I found. http://bit.ly/WindowsXP-FullVersion
