Cant Start Programs

i have some questions that maybe you can help me with. My computer has been acting really strange! for example i click on FireFox web browser a thing comes up asking me "choose the program you want to use to open this file". It does this with just about everything i do. so if i try to install some new anti virus into my computer it will not allow me. i cant install anything anymore. seems like everyone of my exe.files have just disappeared! This may be a virus but i'm not sure. Well please help thanks.

Are you the same person on YouTube that has this problem? If so on YouTube I gave you a solution to fix the problem. But the more I think about it I believe you are correct, it might be a virus.
