Before messing with the registry I recommend the following...
#1, Thoroughly uninstall the stand-alone program using the free Revo Uninstaller. Be sure to use the "Advanced Uninstall" option. That safely deletes registry options.

#3, Use the free CCleaner to delete any extra junk left over. Use the "Cleaner" and "Registry" options.
