Paypal reversal

Here is my problem :

I have sold some goods to someone trough paypal yet he paid me with a stolen Credit Card. If the holder of the CC chargebacks me will i have to pay?

Hi Raphael,

I'm not sure since I am not a lawyer or study to be one. However, I advice you to keep all record about the sell you did. If you know the person report him to the police and keep the report they give you so if something happen in the future you can show them you weren't an accessory of that person.

In my personal opinion, I wouldn't pay anything until I get the goods back, but I still would go to the police to avoid farther problems.

wow thats some problem.
i agree with Rojo,its not you that committed the crime so you should not be at fault.
if the victim has insurance it may help the situation.until you receive the goods,dont give back the money.

If you have money in your Paypal, they might take out the money that was charged to the stolen CC.

It's a good thing that I always transfer my funds that I get from selling virtual goods to another paypal. Yes, I do record all my trade.
