You don’t need to hit any restart button to get into safe mode. What I always do is just turn off the computer and then turn it on again.

Follow my instructions below…

--- Boot Into Safe Mode with Networking ---
1. Turn your computer off. Wait a few seconds
2. Turn your computer on. Continuously tap the “F8” key on your keyboard until you get the, “Advance Boot Options” screen
3. Select the 2nd option “Safe Mode with Networking” by pressing the, Down Arrow on your keyboard and hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard
4. When the computer starts up in Safe Mode, everything on the screen will look large and out of the ordinary, that is normal while in safe mode

--- Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware ---
1. Download and install the free version of Anti-Malware from here http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
2. Install Anti-Malware and run an update
3. Perform a Full/Thorough scan of your entire PC using Anti-Malware
4. Follow all on-screen instructions. If it tells you to restart/reboot your computer do so. When it restarts be sure to boot into Safe Mode with Networking again.

--- SUPERAntiSpyware ---
1. Download and install the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware from here http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
2. Install SUPERAntiSpyware and run an update
3. Perform a Full/Thorough scan of your entire PC using SUPERAntiSpyware
4. Follow all on-screen instructions. If it tells you to restart/reboot your computer do so. When it restarts be sure to boot into Safe Mode with Networking again.

--- Download the Free trial of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 ---
1. Here is the download page for it http://esd.element5.com/demoreg.html?productid=300324331
2. Once installed run an update for Kaspersky Anti-Virus
3. Perform a Full/Thorough scan of your entire PC using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010
