Hi Joey could you recommend some computer programs for removal and search after malware, virus etc. for a computer? No security programs, only programs that does the before mentioned. I have the following programs:

ATF - Cleaner
Ccleaner
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
SUPERAntiSpyware free edition
Spybot - Search & Destroy
Spywareware blaster

The only thing I see missing on that list is Kaspersky. I highly recommend it.

thats interesting.
i had the exact opposite problem,i found that AVG real time protection was able to block a tracking cookie on MSN called ADTMD (spyware).
but start up would take around 3 minutes.
with kaspersky i never get the cookie, superantispyware also finds the same cookie. and kaspersky takes my computer about 10 seconds to start (timed from the windows login music) and also uses less CPU during updates.
i use kasp 2010,internet security 2011 and pure. all on different systems.
my prefered one is pure, followed by 2010,and 2011 last because its set up a little different.
all timed on windows XP.
as for windows 7,well that PC starts instantly after the music (no loading time).

You could also set Kaspersky to NOT startup with Windows starts. That will speed up your PC when it starts. Then just open it up whenever you plan to download or go to a website you want to be protected from.
