Thanks for the information Raphael.

In the past few years the only anti-virus software I have had nothing but good experiences with is Kaspersky Anti-Virus. Others have failed me in some way. So number 2-5 on my Anti-Virus list is from techy buzz I heard around the net...

Anti-Viruses
1. Kaspersky Anti-Virus
2. Nod32 AntiVirus
3. AVG (paid version)
4. Avast
5. Avira

For Firewalls I only have experience with 2 and only heard buzz about the 2 so my list is very short.

Firewalls
1. Zone Alarm
2. Sunbelt

During a test this past month nod32 has also failed me.

Download and install a Trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 if you haven't already done so.

Also something I have been testing out lately that seems to work REALLY well is "SUPERAntiSpyware".

Download and Install, SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition.
