hi im in search of a program that can take a scanned document and alter the text.(the document isnt a signed document)for example if i scanned a book and wanted to reword a few things,is there a program that i can do this simply?

Hello,

What you are looking for is called, "optical character recognition" software or "OCR" for short. The best one I have used is called, "Omnipage Pro". But that was several years ago and there are other ones around.

I looked up free OCR programs and found a couple of them...
