Creative Media Source ripping and play software

After getting the Creative Media Source ripping program that came with my Audigy2 ZS 'updated' and working again I lost decent sound! EVERYTHING sounds garbled & muted when using the Media Source program. Windows Media Player sounds fine but something is messing up the bundled Media Source ripper/player which now sounds horrible.

I suspect some Windows "critical updates" messed up that which used to work fine. I uninstalled & then re-installed the Creative Audigy2 ZS (which has NEVER given me a problem) and the bundled programs...ie Media Source. And, since the sound was all messed up, I then installed the Creative updates! Any ideas on how to recover and use my sound card software apps?

Hi Dan, try the following...
Completely uninstall the sound card applications and drivers. After you shut down your computer open up the case. Move the card to another PCI slot. Now reinstall everything again.

Note: There may be some new IRQ conflicts, that is why I am having you move your PCI card. Also if you have updated any drivers on for your motherboard please uninstall then reinstall them since they may also be causing conflicts.
