Hello,

I use the free program "CCleaner" to clean up my registry. I have never used a registry defragger though.

I searched around the net and found a free registry defragger. I am not sure how good it works or if it really speeds up your PC. I just though I'd link you to it.

It is good software. But how it clean the registry? It may also delete some useful parts. How it come to know that these are useless entries?

ive got auslogics regdefrag, had it for almost 2 months now.
first defrag,11% optomised.
noticed no speed increase at all.
since then it wont detect any faults, although ive removed so many programs.
im wondering why i even still have it on my system as i type.
now ccleaner is far better, even if you drag a short cut around your start menu,it will detect it and offer to delete the broken entry.
be carefull using regesty optimisers.
many you try will scan, then only fix like 10 or 15 of them, then you have to purchase.
so you uninstall them, now you have another regestry problem.
also if the program cant tell you what files need repairing, then dont risk using it.
ive tried many optimisers and the best thing ive found is following tutorials and manually optimising your pc... if it aint broke dont fix fix it...
