i need to upgrade one of my cdj players  so i downloaded the firmware  from pioneer .com for my 800mk2 player , any way it was a compressed file so i use winrar but when i try to open it in order to download it and burn to cd , it says  download800mk2/archive either unknown or damaged " how do i open this file ... to see it just go to pioneer .com  http://pioneer.jp/support/download/dj/cdj800mk2-e.html

Try using the free "7-zip". It is similar to WinRAR but 100% free. I use it decompress everything.
