installing a new game

I just bought a new copy of an old game---C&C:  The First Decade, and when trying to install it I get a message:  You need administrator privileges to install this software/game. I am logged on as an administrator, so what is the problem.  How do I either remove this very nagging UAC or disable it to install the game?  I have tried using regedit and msconfig and nothing works---after all this is Vista home premium...HELP!!!!

Here is a tutorial on how to get rid of the Vista UAC. After you get rid of the message you must restart your PC.

When you are on windows Vista or 7, go to: My Computer, there you should see the CD-ROM drive with the game disk in it (icon), Right click on it and click explore, then scroll down till you see a Setup.exe file.

Right click on the "Setup.exe" file and select, Run as Administrator, a window should pop up, asking you to click continue or enter a password and then clicking continue.
If it has a password and u don't know it, ask any room-mates/parents/brothers or sisters if they put an admin account on the PC with a password, then ask them to give u the password or ask them to enter it.

If you have done that u should be able to properly install the game, i had the same problem too
