pc is so slow..dont know wat to do !!

hi greetings,

i have vista ultimate with 2 GB ram..but still my PC slowing down regularly..when i open any my computer or any drive it freezes about 2 to 5 min..& sometimes it restarts automatically while working ..!!
u guys can help in this..??

Hi Maurice,

This sounds like it might be a virus issue or a combination of things. Do you still have the Vista DVD that came with your computer in case you ever needed to reinstall it? Or maybe with your model it was built-into the computer? If it was built-in during the opening screen when you 1st turn on your PC it will tell you to press one of the “F” keys on your keyboard for a system recovery.

I recommend that you save all of your important data to a USB drive or burn it to a DVD. Then reinstall Vista. The Vista recovery menu might give you 2 options, 1 that asks if you want to do a destructive or some sort of harsh way of reinstalling Vista. The other option will be worded to sound a little nicer. Definitely choose the option that sounds harsher, that option will kill any virus you may have during the reinstall of Vista.

Try using Iolo system mechanic its about a 20$ program but works fine increased my computers speed by 12.6 percent! and does way more than just delete junk files. heres a link to it..
