I attempted to rip a CD using Windows Media Player after I read this post. For some reason it also does not work on my computer. I just used it to rip about 20 CDs last month, very odd. The only thing I can think of is an alternative ripping utility.
Here is a free software alternative that I tested and is working as of this post...
AudioGrabber:
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html(About 2/3 of the download links do not work so just click down the list until you find one that does)
Download LAME MP3 Encoder:
http://jthz.com/~lame/- Download both and install AudioGrabber
- Unzip the full LAME MP3 file contents into the audiograbber directory
I will create a quick video showing some basic settings of Audio Grabber later.
NOTE TO EVERYONE: AudioGrabber works with Windows XP and Vista. I even tested it out with Vista 64-bit it it works fine.
