So I regularly use CCleaner to free up a couple gigs on my harddrive.

I wanted to install Sims 3. I've had it installed before, but it won't delete.
So I looked it up, and found out about Revo. So I dl'd it, tried it out....and it has the same problem. It's a newer version than the video that's on the website, so I'm not sure if the other problem I have is new-

It shows me a lot of files on the 'leftover' screen. Even a few programs I still use and definitely don't want to uninstall those.

Soo... Help?

This is what pops up when I uninstall anything. It says those files are leftovers...
I always say next. I'm not sure I want to delete those.

This is the next screen that pops up.

For my Sims3 problem, I uninstall and get this:

Which is what I got from windows uninstaller too.

So. What do I do?

I'm very annoyed. This website says it's supposed to help people with computer problems, and yet I have been waiting three days and no one has offered any support.

I guess this website isn't what the creator thought it would be. :/

Please, could someone help me?

hi Shiilo.
with revo,i usually choose advance method uninstall.
it will sometimes ask to resart the computer after.i do NOT do this.instead i reboot later.
i then click next in revo and scan the system for left over drivers and registry folders.also delete them all(ive never had a problem with deleting these, ever).
these are folders used to share a program folder with another folder and windows uninstaller always leaves these behind.removing nero is a good example.
after its all finished ill close revo and restart my computer.
then run ccleaner and scan the registry aswell.

ive also used a program called Cleanse Uninstaller PRO
you can get a trial version from there website.

ether program you use,you will need to reinstall Sims again.so you can do a complete uninstall.
then install sims again (cleanly)

revo also has a hunter mode to delete leftover  folders
or antimalwarebytes has a file assasin tool

Good post Davo. It's more of a thorough answer than I had.  Smiley
